Bridging the Gap in our Schools

Grief Counselors committed to our Valley Schools

"The support I have received from Pathfinders has had a huge impact on my school. Families having access to this high level of counseling during their time of need at no additional cost has definitely eased their suffering."

In August 2017 Pathfinders launched our school based service programs. What began with one counselor and two schools, has grown exponentially over the last two years. We now provide free individual and group counseling services in schools from Aspen to Rifle. Our team of experienced grief counselors is committed to providing students and teachers in our valley with easier access to grief and loss services to address the following issues: traumatic divorce; separation from family due to immigration; death of a loved one; significant separation from a parent, sibling or other family members due to extenuating circumstances. We have received tremendous feedback, from both school staff and students, regarding these programs.

"Pathfinders has been such an incredible resource! Children have undergone grief and loss support, and I am so thankful Pathfinders provides my grieving students a safe place to talk about their experience so they can heal."

"Pathfinders has helped me find a sense of relief within myself. Not only that, but it has also provided me with some of the best therapists in the Valley. It is a safe space. I recommend it to anyone."
